BBC Good Food Wine Club

Welcome to the BBC Good Food Wine Club. In partnership with Laithwaites, we’re offering discounts on exclusively curated cases of wine, chosen by wine experts and the BBC Good Food team, for you to subscribe to or buy as a gift.

What is the BBC Good Food Wine Club?

The BBC Good Food Wine Club offers you savings on exclusively curated cases of Laithwaites wine. Once you’ve signed up using our introductory offer, you will be enrolled onto a Laithwaites plan of four, eight or 12 weeks, unless you opt out after creating your account. Your plan is customisable, plus Laithwaites will regularly send you exclusive offers on BBC Good Food collaboration cases.

Each case will contain tasting notes for pairing wine with food, along with the stories behind each bottle and serving suggestions.

If you’re not happy with the plan, you can cancel at any time, no questions asked.

What’s in the case?

You can take your pick of a mixed case of 12 bottles (2 bottles each of 3 reds and 3 whites), or go for all red (2 x 6 bottles) or white (2 x 6 bottles).

For red wines, you’ll find a rich Australian Shiraz and juicy Italian Chianti, along with two bottles of Le Malbec d’Hervé from France. From the Languedoc region, this is a silky red with plenty of deep black fruit (think blackberries and plums), balanced by herbal notes on the finish.

For the white wines, you’ll enjoy classic Sauvignon Blancs (with bottles from both Spain and Chile) and Pinot Grigio, along with complex white blends. The Forager from South Africa is a blend of Chenin Blanc and Grenache for a dry result that’s filled with stone fruit aromas and touch of citrus on the palate, with subtle oak.

How is the wine chosen?

Wine expert Henry Jeffreys, along with the BBC Good Food team, selects all of the wines on offer to BBC Good Food readers. Henry writes about wine for The Guardian and The Spectator, and on his blog, World of Booze. He’s also a judge in the Best Drinks Producer category for the BBC Food and Farming Awards. His book, The Home Bar (£25, Jacqui Small), is out now.
